Privacy policy

Venrell ("we", "us") runs venrell.com, an independent buying-guide site. This page explains what data we handle and why. Short version: we collect very little, and we never sell or rent your personal information.

What we collect

• Basic technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Aggregate analytics. If we use analytics, we use privacy-friendly, aggregate tools to see which pages are useful. We do not build advertising profiles.
• Email. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when no longer needed.

We do not run ads, we do not have user accounts and we do not collect payment information. Purchases happen on the retailer's site, not ours.

Affiliate links and cookies

Some links on Venrell are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, the retailer or its affiliate network may set a cookie to record that the visit came from us, so we can earn a commission if you buy. Those cookies are set by them and are governed by their privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the site (such as hosting and email), or when required by law. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context advertising as those terms are used in U.S. state privacy laws.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example California or other U.S. states, or the EU/UK), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Email us and we will respond within the time required by law. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Children

Venrell is meant for adults researching home purchases. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
